YouTube star kicked off Delta flight for “speaking Arabic” | Secret Flying

Adam Saleh, a popular YouTube prankster, recorded himself being kicked off a Delta flight for supposedly speaking Arabic to his mother.

A popular YouTube star was kicked off a Delta Air Lines flight on Wednesday after he supposedly spoke Arabic to his mother on the phone and brought “discomfort” to fellow passengers shortly before takeoff. Adam Saleh, a serial YouTube prankster, posted a video on Twitter (see below) showing Delta staff escorting him and his friend off the plane.

Mr Saleh, who has millions of followers subscribed to his YouTube channels, can be heard saying to other passengers: “Are you serious? I’m about to cry right now. You guys are racists. I cannot believe it. Because we said a word in a different language? And it’s six white people against us bearded men?”

The videos of the incident quickly went viral and sparked intense outrage on Twitter from people who called to boycott Delta. At the time of publishing this blog, #BoycottDelta was trending on Twitter.

Delta said in a statement: “Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort.

“We’re conducting a full review to understand what transpired. We are taking allegations of discrimination very seriously; our culture requires treating others with respect.”
