Qatar Airways flight diverted after wife unlocks sleeping husband’s phone and discovers his affair | Secret Flying

A Qatar Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing last week after a woman found out her husband was cheating on her.

A female passenger on flight QR962 from Doha to Bali, Indonesia, unlocked her husband’s phone by placing his thumb on it while he was sleeping and discovered he was having an affair.

The unidentified Iranian woman became incensed by what she found on the device, forcing the pilot to land in Chennai, India so that the couple and their child could be removed from the plane.

Speaking to the New Indian Express, the director of Chennai International Airport claimed the woman was drunk and so the family were not allowed to board a subsequent flight until she had sobered up.

Since they did not have Indian visas, they were kept at a detention centre.

Eventually, the family were put on a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A Qatar Airways spokesperson declined to comment on the incident saying: “In respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases.”
