A baggage handler based at Singapore Changi Airport is accused of swapping hundreds of baggage tags with the intention of sending luggage to the wrong destination.
On Tuesday, Tay Boon Keh, 63, was charged with 286 counts of mischief for swapping around baggage tags attached to the pieces of luggage at Singapore Changi Airport.
The court heard that Mr Tay carried out his ill-behaved practise from 8th November every day for three months.
It is reported that only passengers flying Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Lufthansa were affected.
If found guilty, Keh faces a year in jail or a hefty fine.
Singapore Changi Airport told the Straits Times newspaper that it was an isolated incident and there was no serious breach of aviation security.
