United Airlines mistakenly flies Kansas City-bound dog to Japan | Secret Flying

United Airlines says it is investigating after mistakenly flying a Kansas family’s dog to Japan.

Coming just one day after a United Airlines flight attendant ordered a dog in an overhead locker leading to its death, the airline is involved in another canine-related incident.

United are investigating how a dog intended for travel from Oregon to Kansas City, Missouri ended up in the Japanese city of Naruto.

According to reports, Kara Swindle and her two children are in the process of moving to Wichita.

The family paid to have their 10-year-old German shepherd, Irgo, shipped as cargo.

However, when they landed in Kansas City, the family were instead given another owner’s Great Dane.

The airline has apologised for the error and said they are reaching out to the vendor kennel for answers.

The dog is now in the process of being returned and is expected back in the US before the end of the week.

Ms Swindle, concerned with her pet’s long flight back home, said: “I don’t know if he’s going to be able to sustain this flight, because he is a 10-year-old dog, and he’s never been on a flight before. I honestly don’t know if he’s going to survive this flight.”
