You must book these flights via the Brazilian American Airlines website.
It seems American Airlines have already caught on, as the Brazilian site is currently under maintenance.
When you select the Brazilian version, you are prompted with a “Down for Maintenance” message. Simply, open a new tab and visit the American Airlines website through a Google search. The Brazilian version of the site will then successfully load.
