Airlines to start asking all passengers security questions before boarding US-bound flights | Secret Flying

Passengers flying to the USA from all overseas airports face the threat of chaos as airlines implement extra security checks before they board flights.

From Thursday, all US-bound flights are being forced to comply with new security measures demanded by Washington DC aimed at responding to the threat of hidden explosives.

It is believed some passengers will be handed a form to fill out, while others face being quizzed by airline employees.

Staff will also be inspecting personal electronic devices.

Many airline officials have expressed concern that the new security checks could cause delays and lead to higher prices.

The checks will affect 325,000 airline passengers on approximately 2,100 commercial flights arriving daily in the United States.

Lisa Farbstein, a spokeswoman for the US Transportation Security Administration, told The Associated Press that both US citizens and foreigners would face the same security procedure.

A few airlines have claimed that they will not implement the checks on Thursday and instead delay it until January 2018.
