Entire contents of Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 1 up for auction | Secret Flying

The entire contents of Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 1 will go up for auction on 21st April 2018.

All of the contents from inside Heathrow Airport’s now defunct Terminal 1 are to be auctioned off later this month.

The items on sale include baggage carousels, check-in kiosks, airport seats, signs and thousands of security cameras.

Auction firm CA Global Partners hopes to fetch a six-figure sum when all items are sold.

The firm’s managing partner Daniel Gray told the BBC: “A sale comprising the entire contents and infrastructure of an entire major airport terminal is unprecedented.”

“Some of the contents have significant historic value and there may even be elements of the furnishing that would appeal to nightclubs or other entertainment venues. We anticipate a broad range of interest.”

Heathrow Airport is currently undergoing a large expansion project, which includes plans for a third runway to be added.
