Southwest investigates pilot’s use of ‘Let’s go Brandon’ over PA system.

Southwest Airlines is investigating a pilot who brought politics onto the plane by using the controversial phrase over the public address system.

The Associated Press, which had a reporter on board the flight, said that the pilot of a Friday flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico ended his greeting to the passengers by saying, “Let’s go, Brandon.”

There were “audible gasps” from some passengers, according to the AP.

The phrase “Let’s go, Brandon” has become common in conservative circles as a way of saying, “F*** Joe Biden.”

Having started as a meme, the phrase has widely spread to Republican members of Congress and has even been said on the House floor.

The AP reporter onboard the flight, Colleen Long, said she tried to ask the pilot about his comment but was “almost removed from [the] plane”.

Southwest has voiced its disapproval of the incident, saying it does not condone its employees sharing personal political opinions while working.

“Southwest is conducting an internal investigation into the recently reported event and will address the situation directly with any Employee involved while continuing to remind all Employees that public expression of personal opinions while on duty is unacceptable,” the airline said.

“Southwest does not tolerate any behavior that encourages divisiveness.”

Audio of the pilot’s greeting, which Secret Flying could not independently verify, has been circulating widely on social media.
