Another Spirit brawl over face masks.

A woman has been tasered by police at San Juan Airport in Puerto Rico after a wild brawl broke out on a Spirit Airlines flight because she reportedly refused to wear a face mask.

The incident occurred Sunday soon after the plane landed in the Caribbean island from Newark, New Jersey.

In a video posted online, a woman can be seen screaming at a man in a white t-shirt, before throwing a number of punches of which a few catch an airport worker who is attempting to deescalate the situation.

The woman, who police has named as Nyasy Veronique Payne, climbs over a row of seats in an attempt to confront the man as punches are thrown from all sides and chaos ensues.

Police eventually rush onboard and taser Payne before taking her to jail.

The man behind the camera told CBS News the incident started because “the woman refused to follow the airlines protocol to wear a mask”.

This reportedly led to three men shouting racial and homophobic slurs at Payne and her two friends.

One of the men allegedly threw the first punch, which was not caught on camera.

In the last few months, fights over face masks have become an all-too-common occurrence on US planes.

All US airlines state that passengers must cover their noses and mouths throughout the duration of the plane rides.

Over the weekend, Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines announced it has more than 400 people on its no-fly list for refusing to wear a face mask.
