British man dies falling from plane at Dalaman airport in Turkey | Secret Flying

A British man died after falling from a plane on to the runway at Dalaman airport early on Tuesday morning.

A British man has died after falling from a stationary plane at Dalaman airport in south-west Turkey.

In peculiar circumstances, Andrew Westlake, was being escorted off the Jet2 plane for “putting the flight at risk” before take-off.

Turkish authorities told local media that Westlake was arguing with cabin crew before the pilot called the police to remove him from the flight.

As Mr Westlake was being removed from the aircraft, he somehow fell on to the tarmac.

He was taken to hospital with broken ribs but fell unconscious and died a short time later.

Mr Westlake’s family have spoken about their devastation following the death of the dad-of-one.

“We really don’t know what to think. His mum is absolutely devastated,” his aunt said.
