Around the world

Around the world refers to a Secret Flying deal that consists of flying to several destinations around the world.

Basic economy

Basic economy is a fare class similar to economy but with additional restrictions.

Blackout period

A blackout period is a date window which an airline has excluded from a sale.

Booking currency

Booking currency refers to the currency used for the payment of the flight ticket.

Codeshare

A codeshare is when one airline is selling a flight that is actually operated by a different airline.

Domestic flight

A domestic flight is one where the departure and arrival city are both within the same country.

Error Fare

An Error Fare is when a flight is unintentionally priced much cheaper than the airline intended it to be.

E-ticket

An e-ticket is a receipt in the booking system of an airline.

Expired

A hub is referred to airports that are used by airlines as central transfer points.

Lie-flat seats

Long-haul

Non-stop flight

A one-way flight is when a flight consists of one journey with no return.

Open-jaw flight

An open-jaw itinerary is when the outgoing flight is different to the incoming one.

OTA (Online Travel Agent)

An Online Travel Agent is a website where you can book your flights as an alternative to booking directly with the airline.

Package holiday

A package holiday comprises of flights and accommodation advertised and sold together by a tour operator.

Price Drop

A price drop is the term used when a Secret Flying deal is even cheaper than the price we recently published the same deal for.

Redemption flight

A redemption flight is a flight that can be purchased using miles/points from your frequent flyer program.

Roundtrip

A roundtrip flight is an itinerary in which you return to the initial departure city.

Short-haul

Short-haul flights are generally agreed to be less than three hours, typically making them domestic or regional flights.

Stopover

A stopover is long layover which usually is more than 24 hours.
