Two men have been arrested in South Korea for secretly live-streaming 1,600 hotel guests.

Hundreds of hotel guests across South Korea have been secretly filmed having sex without their knowledge in a scandal that has rocked the country.

According to reports, the suspects set up hidden cameras in 42 rooms at 30 hotels in 10 South Korean cities between November 2018 and March 2019.

They used mini-cameras with 1mm lenses, installing them in digital boxes, hair dryer holders and wall sockets.

The website where the live-streams were played had more than 4,000 members, 97 of whom paid a $44.95 monthly fee to access extra features, like having the ability to re-watch a live video.

Two men have been arrested and two more are being investigated.

The news comes just a week after several K-pop stars made headlines for secretly filming themselves having sex with women.

One particular singer and TV celebrity, Jung Joon-young, admitted to having shared his videos online.

South Korea has a serious problem with spy cameras and illicit filming, which largely involve men secretly filming women in schools and toilets, among other places.
