A family was caught stealing accessories from a 5-star luxury resort in Bali.
A family of Indian tourists were caught stealing items such as a hairdryer, soap dispensers and coat hangers from a luxury hotel in Bali.
Angry security personnel at the The Royal Purnama filmed the moment the family were caught red-faced as their bags were opened in the hotel’s car park.
Footage of the embarrassing encounter shows a staff member pulling out towels, toiletries and accessories taken by the family.
“I can pay,” one of the family members says.
“You explain now,” the angry hotel employee responds as he displays the soap dispensers hidden in one of the bags.
“Stop. This is not about the money. I know you have a lot of money. This is no respect. You come to Bali, you just steal – no respect,” the employee continues.
The family can be heard pleading for the hotel staff to let them leave as they have a flight to catch.
The video posted online has since gone viral in India, attracting many comments denouncing the tourists’ actions.
“The worst example of entitled Indian travellers who are a disgrace to the image of our country. Casually stealing hand washes, room artefacts, hair dryers from a hotel room in Bali,” actress Mini Mathur tweeted.
According to reports, no charges were laid by Sukawati Police who later posted to their Facebook page the stolen items.
