Kangaroo hops on American Airline flight.

A kangaroo was spotted hopping onboard an American Airlines flight at Charlotte Douglas International Airport a month after the Department of Transportation (DOT) banned emotional support animals from US airlines.

Harry, a joey (baby kangaroo), was being transported to Newport News, Virginia at the weekend as part of a wildlife conservation project.

Accompanied by his handler, Harry can be seen in a video posted online following a pouch, stopping every so often to look about the cabin.

He is followed down the aisle by excited pilots and cabin crew with their phones in hand.

“WHYYY aren’t I ever on the animal transport flights?” read the video’s caption.

“WHY… because I’m pretty sure I’d be too distracted to get any work done.”

“@ohheyitsbobbyb had this little angel on a flight from CLT to PHF as part of a wildlife conservation effort. Only in my dreams…”

The baby kangaroo reportedly sat in his pouch for the duration of the flight and made no attempt to hop on any other passengers.
