Ibiza is served by Ibiza Airport (IBZ), the main gateway to the Balearic Islands' most famous party and luxury destination. It is an extremely seasonal airport, with a massive influx of flights from across Europe during the summer months (May-October) and a much-reduced winter schedule, heavily focused on leisure travel.

The airport's network explodes in summer, offering direct connections to dozens of cities across the UK, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. Key domestic routes operate year-round to Madrid (MAD) and Barcelona (BCN), and to other Balearic islands. Winter service is minimal, primarily maintaining the Madrid and Barcelona links along with a handful of other European city routes.

Ibiza Airport is dominated by low-cost and leisure airlines during peak season. Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling, and Jet2.com have major operations. National carriers like Iberia and Air Europa maintain the essential domestic routes. Numerous European charter airlines also provide seasonal package holiday flights. This creates high competition in summer but limited options in winter.

To find cheap flights from Ibiza, book summer travel many months in advance, as prices soar closer to departure. For winter travel, book domestic flights to Madrid or Barcelona ahead of time. The absolute cheapest time to fly is during the shoulder seasons (late April-May, October) just outside the peak clubbing season. Be extremely flexible with dates; mid-week flights are cheaper. For travel outside Europe, the standard route is to connect via Madrid or Barcelona. Note that airport operations can be very busy and hectic during summer weekends.
