Dispute over baggage fee escalates into arrest.

Three women were taken into custody after an incident aboard a Frontier flight departing from Miami International Airport, following a disagreement over additional baggage charges. The situation unfolded late in the evening when the passengers attempted to board a flight to Philadelphia but were informed that their luggage exceeded the allowance they had paid for.

According to reports, airline staff explained that the group had only purchased permission for one carry-on bag each, yet they were travelling with more items than permitted. They were instructed to step aside and settle the extra fee before continuing with the boarding process. What began as a routine request quickly developed into a heated verbal exchange between the passengers and the airline employee.

Despite being warned that failure to comply could result in removal from the flight, the women reportedly chose to ignore the instructions. Instead of resolving the matter, they proceeded towards the aircraft through a restricted access point clearly marked for authorised personnel only. This action prompted staff to escalate the situation and request assistance from law enforcement.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were briefed by airline personnel, who confirmed that the passengers’ boarding privileges had been revoked due to their refusal to follow instructions. Authorities then approached the women and informed them that they needed to leave the aircraft. However, the passengers allegedly declined to cooperate, even after repeated warnings.

As the situation continued to intensify, all other travellers were asked to disembark the aircraft so that officers could manage the disruption safely. During the attempt to remove the three individuals, a brief physical struggle reportedly took place, with the women resisting efforts to be restrained. Officers ultimately succeeded in placing them under arrest.

Additional allegations emerged during the incident, including claims that one of the women spat at an individual while being escorted off the plane. Footage of the confrontation later circulated online, showing the passengers being led away while exchanging heated remarks with bystanders.

The disruption caused a delay to the scheduled flight, which departed more than an hour later than planned. Following their arrest, the three women were taken to a local correctional facility. They now face charges including trespassing and resisting law enforcement, while one individual has also been charged with battery.

At the time of reporting, neither the airport authorities nor the airline had issued detailed public statements regarding the incident. The case highlights how quickly routine travel procedures can escalate when passengers fail to adhere to airline policies and instructions.
