Cheap Flights To A Coruña

Finding Cheap Flights To A Coruña

A Coruña is served by A Coruña Airport (LCG), also known as Alvedro Airport, a small but efficient regional gateway in northwestern Spain's Galicia region. While it handles far less traffic than Spain's major hubs, it offers a calm and convenient entry point for travelers heading to the city's historic port and Atlantic coastline.

Most flights to A Coruña arrive from within Spain, with the busiest and most reliable connection being the shuttle from Madrid-Barajas (MAD). This route, operated multiple times daily, serves as the primary lifeline for both business and leisure travelers. Other domestic routes include flights from Barcelona (BCN), as well as seasonal services from the Balearic and Canary Islands. International arrivals are more limited but typically include direct flights from London Stansted (STN), and occasionally from Paris or Lisbon depending on the season.

A handful of airlines operate into A Coruña. Iberia, along with its regional partner Air Nostrum, dominates the domestic market, especially on the Madrid route. Low-cost carrier Ryanair provides the main international option with flights from London Stansted, and may also run seasonal services from other European cities.

To secure cheap flights to A Coruña, book early on the Madrid or Barcelona routes, as these fill up quickly with local travelers. For international arrivals, the Ryanair flight from London offers the best value when booked several weeks in advance. For a much wider choice of departure cities and potentially lower fares, consider flying into Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ), located about a 45-minute drive south. SCQ has more frequent and diverse low-cost connections from across Europe. Just remember to factor in the time and cost of the onward transfer to A Coruña when comparing total trip prices.
