A young boy was allegedly told to remove his t-shirt because the snake printed on it could cause anxiety.

A 10-year-old was allegedly told to remove his snake printed t-shirt before boarding or else he couldn’t fly.

Stevie Lucas, from New Zealand, was visiting his grandparents on the Western Cape of South Africa.

According to reports, security officers at Johannesburg airport ordered Lucas to remove or cover his t-shirt as it could cause other passengers on the flight anxiety.

Stevie’s mother told him to turn his t-shirt inside out and put it back on in an attempt to quickly resolve the matter.

“Security officers have the right to determine if an object has the potential to harm fellow passengers and crew members by causing certain objects or prints to be anxious,” the airport said in a statement.
