Airbnb host places signs throughout property.
An Airbnb host has been ridiculed online for placing signs throughout their property warning the guests of their strict rules.
In a video shared on TikTok that has been viewed over three million times, Becky Levin Navarro asked: “Is there a cap on how many rules can be displayed at Airbnbs?”
Footage shows the abundance of labels across the home, with various laminated notes stuck to doors, walls, tables and cupboards.
One label reads: “DECORATIVE PIECE ONLY. DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE FOR ANY REASON. I AM 10,000 YEARS OLD AND WILL BREAK IF YOU LOOK AT ME THE WRONG WAY.”
Another label on a wooden cabinet with glass doors says: “ANTIQUE AND FRAGILE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR PULL ON KNOBS.”
“ABSOLUTELY NO JUMPING ON BEDS” another label reads.
Navarro said of the property: “The rules displayed all over the house just killed me. It seemed like every room and every surface had a note. It almost felt like it wasn’t a vacation with So. Many. Rules.”
The viral video has garnered more than 6,700 comments, with the majority ridiculing the level of labelling.
One TikTok user joked: “Someone was excited to use their new laminating machine.”
“It’s the “do not touch” on the DYING cactus for me,” another commentator said.
“I mean, why have it as an Airbnb? Feels like a museum,” a third wrote.
It’s unclear where the property is, although the video was geotagged as Wimberley, a village in central Texas in the United States.
