An American Airlines flight attendant who had a fight mid-air with a colleague is suing the airline.

Two American Airlines flight attendants who brawled mid-air will head to court after one of the women filed a lawsuit claiming the airline failed to investigate.

In her lawsuit, Kathy Ida Wolfe says another flight attendant, Laura Powers, “maliciously dug her fingernails into my arm, and slammed the door of a beverage cart on my arm.”

Powers then “grabbed my scarf, choking me, and dragged me in the aisle and in front of the passengers.”

Ms Wolfe said she followed the airline’s procedures by reporting the attack though the appropriate channels, however, her employer allegedly failed to properly investigate the incident.

The supposed victim now seeks up to $1.4 million in damages.

According to the lawsuit, both women are still employed by American Airlines.
