American Airlines kicks family off flight due to complaints about body odor | Secret Flying

A Michigan family was kicked off a flight Wednesday after other passengers complained about their body odor.

A Michigan family on vacation in Miami was asked to leave their American Airlines flight after other passengers had complained about their body odor.

Local 10 News in Florida reported that Yossi and Jennie Adler and their 19-month-old daughter were heading home to Detroit when they were escorted off the plane.

“All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, ‘Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and we’re not letting you back on,'” Mr Adler told WPLG.

To make matters worse for the family, the airline forgot to take their luggage and stroller off the plane.

In a statement released on Thursday, American Airlines said: “The Adler family were asked to deplane last night after several passengers, along with our crew members, complained about their body odor. The family were provided hotel accommodations and meals, and rebooked on a flight to Detroit today.”

When the Alders returned to Miami International Airport the next day, they went around the airport asking fellow passengers whether they smelt bad.

“We stopped several people in the airport and, it’s embarrassing, but we asked them, ‘Do you think we smell? Because we just got kicked off a plane for smelling,” Jennie Adler told WPLG.

“There’s no body odor that we have. There’s nothing wrong with us.”
