American Airlines move quickly to suspend flight attendant after “striking mother with baby stroller” | Secret Flying

American Airlines have suspended a flight attendant and offered compensation to a mother after he allegedly struck the woman with her baby stroller.

An American Airlines flight attendant was accused of striking a mother with her baby stroller, over a dispute as to whether the woman could bring it on the flight.

The mother claims that the flight attendant very nearly hit her child with his actions, which took place during boarding on a flight from San Francisco to Dallas.

In the video, which has gone viral since the incident occurred on Friday, the mother can been seen crying and shaken in the aftermath of the event. A fellow male passenger confronts the flight attendant and tells him: “Hey bud. You do that to me and I’ll knock you flat.”

As the captain looks on from the cockpit door, the American Airlines employee says: “Try it. Hit me.”

The airline has moved quickly to suspend the flight attendant and offer the mother and her children a free upgrade to First Class for the remainder of their international itinerary to avoid a PR disaster like United Airlines have experienced in the past couple of weeks.

The statement from American said: “We have seen the video and have already started an investigation to obtain the facts. What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers. We are deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident.”
