More violence on flights over face masks.

A fight broke out between two passengers on an Allegiant Air flight after one passenger refused to wear a face mask underneath his face shield.

Flight 607 from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport destined for Provo, Utah was preparing for departure when the incident took place.

According to reports, a passenger wearing only a face shield got into an argument with a flight attendant regarding his choice of covering.

After refusing the flight attendant’s insistence that he must wear a face mask underneath his shield, another passenger, who was described as being drunk, began yelling at the man.

Cabin crew decided to remove the face shield man from the aircraft, however , not before things turned violent between the two men.

Rylie Lansford captured the incident on camera.

“It was absolutely insane to me because it’s all about a mask,” Lansford told Salt Lake City NBC affiliate KSL. “It didn’t need to get that way.”

Allegiant Airlines requires all passengers to wear face covering at all times, including at the ticket counter, gate area and for the duration of the flight.

“Face shields may be worn in addition to a face covering, but not as an alternative,” according to company policy.
