Man enjoyed ‘unlimited food and snacks’.
A student has shared his experience of being the only person on an eight-hour British Airways flight from London’s Heathrow Airport to Orlando International Airport.
Kai Forsyth, who is from Derby but goes to college in the US, said it was the “weirdest experience” to be on the plane alone.
Filming for his @kaiforsyth TikTok, Forsyth pans around to show aisle after aisle of empty seats and explains: “The cabin crew said I was the only person onboard the flight.”
“It was eight hours so I set up a bed. Literally the comfiest I’ve ever been on a plane,” he writes on the screen.
Forsyth’s video shows a large box of Walkers shortbread biscuits, telling his viewers: “They literally gave me all the snacks and unlimited food”
The lone traveller said he had hoped to be upgraded to a business class seat as there were no other passengers on the flight, but sadly he was not offered the opportunity.
The video was watched more than 388,000 times with many viewers sharing their own experiences of flying on an empty flight.
“I remember the flight home from John F Kennedy International Airport [New York, US] to Gatwick, about 10 people [were in] the whole of economy. Was the best flight,” one TikTok user said.
“Omg that was me I kept flying when Covid first ever got announced and there were no restrictions,” another user commented.
