China’s major airlines resuming flights to San Francisco.

Three Chinese airlines who suspended flights to San Francisco in the wake of the coronvirus outbreak, have now resumed their services.

Air China, China Eastern and China Southern have all resumed flights to the Golden Gate City.

China Eastern will resume daily flights between SFO and Shanghai, whilst Air China is operating Beijing flights at an undetermined frequency.

China Southern resumed four weekly flights starting yesterday from Guangzhou.

In a statement, San Francisco International Airport said ongoing advisories, restrictions and screening procedures would remain in effect but cfalled the return to service “a hopeful change in direction.”

Although the United States has suspended entry for foreign nationals who have been in mainland China 14 days prior, US citizens and permanent residents are welcome to return home.

However, they must undergo enhanced entry screening at one of 13 airports (SFO is one of them) and self-quarantine for 14 days.
