Couple denied boarding for being barefoot are arrested after attacking American Airlines agent

Couple arrested after fighting with American Airlines staff.

 

A Californian man and a woman were arrested at Miami International Airport on Sunday evening after they began fighting with an American Airlines representative at the departure gate.

 

23-year-old Brittney Mohammadi, was filmed jumping over the ticket counter attempting to attack an AA employee after she was refused boarding for not wearing any shoes.

 

“We’re not leaving! We’re not leaving!” Mohammadi is filmed yelling at the counter agent as her boyfriend,Β Manuel Arteaga, 26, pulls her back.

 

“She’s high on something,” a woman can be hears saying in the video.

 

According to reports, the couple eventually left the departure gate and made their way outside the terminal.

 

Here, they allegedly got into another confrontation, this time with an identified man and his dog.

 

Claiming the dog had attacked them, police had had enough of the couple and decided to arrest the pair.

 

In another video posted online, airport police can be seen scuffling with the couple as they put the handcuffs on.

 

Arteaga was charged with disorderly conduct, battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence, and resisting arrest without violence.

 

Mohammadi was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.

 

The couple has since been interviewed by a local news station admitting they were drunk.

 

“We were at Voodoo Lounge. We had tequila,” Mohammadi said.

 

When asked if she realized that she wouldn’t have gotten in trouble had she not jumped on the counter, Mohammadi replied, “I did realize that, but you know what? People make mistakes.”
