Passengers flying in coach will be treated to a complimentary “Welcome Aboard” cocktail.
Delta economy class passengers can soon expect free cocktails and hot towels on long-haul flights.
The Atlanta-based airline said starting in November, it will serve “welcome aboard” cocktails like bellinis on international routes over 6 hours and 30 minutes (sorry Hawaii-bound travellers).

Delta also plans to serve premium appetisers and larger entrees to international passengers, and will hand out chocolates at the end of the flight.
Economy class passengers flying to international destinations on Delta already get free snacks and beverages on flights distancing over 250 miles.
So the new service is intended to enhance those long trips.
“The thoughtful touches we’re investing in throughout the new Main Cabin experience were designed by flight attendants with one goal in mind – delivering an exceptional experience that our customers will rave about,” says Allison Ausband of Delta.
