Delta Air Lines gives $30,000 to passengers of crashed plane.

Delta Air Lines has announced that it will provide $30,000 to each passenger who was on board a flight from Minneapolis that crashed while attempting to land in Toronto earlier this week. The airline assured passengers that the compensation was offered unconditionally.

The incident occurred on Monday when Delta Flight 4819 attempted a landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The aircraft, carrying 76 passengers and four crew members, made a hard landing, rolled over, and came to rest upside down. The impact resulted in significant damage, with the right wing being torn off.

Miraculously, all 80 people on board survived the crash. Emergency responders transported 21 passengers to nearby hospitals for treatment. By Wednesday morning, only one individual remained under medical care, though none of the injuries were classified as life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Delta confirmed on Wednesday that the company had officially made the compensation offer to passengers. The airline assured those affected that the payment was made with “no strings attached” and would not impact their legal rights.

While the cause of the crash remains under investigation, authorities are working to determine the factors that led to the aircraft’s rough landing. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has launched a full inquiry into the incident.

Several passengers expressed their gratitude for surviving such a terrifying event, while others were critical of the airline’s handling of the situation. Some passengers voiced concerns about whether mechanical failures or pilot error played a role in the crash.

Delta has stated that its primary focus is supporting passengers and crew members affected by the accident. The airline is cooperating fully with investigators and will take any necessary steps to enhance safety measures moving forward.
