Garuda Indonesia is bringing music to the skies by staging a series of live acoustic concerts at 35,000 feet.

Indonesian national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has announced it will provide live acoustic concerts on domestic flights.

The airline said it is aimed at passengers “who want a different flight experience.”

The first in-flight concert was on Wednesday, when two musicians performed on a flight from Jakarta to Bali.

Garuda Indonesia said sets would last 15 minutes, and there would be a focus on promoting upcoming talent.

The carrier ensured the concerts expose no threat to safety or security.

“If there is the potential of turbulence, the singer will be directed back to sit in his chair,” a spokesman said.

In 2017, US airline Southwest introduced live shows on some flights to a mixed reaction from passengers.
