‘Idiotic’ K-pop fans delay flight in Hong Kong | Secret Flying

K-pop fans delayed a flight from Hong Kong by mobbing their idols and then demanding to be allowed to get off the aircraft.

Three eager K-pop fans caused outrage after mobbing the band Wanna One on a Korean Air flight and then demanding to be allowed to get off the aircraft before take off.

According to reports, the fans entered the business and first class cabins whilst the Seoul-bound flight was waiting for a 3:25 p.m. departure at Hong Kong International Airport.

Just before take-off, Wanna One band members boarded the flight only to be confronted by the overly excited trio.

The fans, all in their 20s, surrounded Wanna One, carrying posters of the band.

Korean Air crew members pleaded for the passengers to return to their seats.

However, as soon as they had been convinced to leave the pop stars alone, the trio said they no longer wanted to go to Seoul and instead wanted to get off the plane.

As a result, all 360 passengers on board the aircraft have to deplane and go through security again.

To rub salt into the airline’s wound, the fans demanded full refunds of their tickets, to which they were entitled under Korean Air’s refund policies as they had paid the full purchase prices.

Korea Air also had to pay Hong Kong International Airport a penalty for taking off late.

The airline asked Hong Kong police to investigate the matter, however, authorities declined as there was no material damage.
