Indian E-visa Facility Now Open to British Passport Holders

India have introduced e-visas to British nationals at only £40 per application.
What’s more, you can now apply up to 4-days before your departure.

 

 

Previously, British passport holders would have to book individual appointments at one of the few available centres in the UK. Here, the lengthy process would include being questioned by an immigration officer and fingerprinted.
The whole process can take weeks and costs just under £100.

Now, that’s all in the past. Ranjan Mathai, The Indian High Commissioner to the UK, stated the government are committed to increasing tourist numbers and the extension of the e-visas to British nationals is the first step in achieving this.
