An author got a taste of the VIP life when she was the only passenger on a Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Crete.
A lucky Jet2 customer was the only passenger on her £46 flight from Glasgow to Crete.
Karon Grieve from Ayrshire, Scotland was told at the check-in desk that only three people were booked on the flight.
When the other two passengers failed to show up, the 57-year-old author was given private jet treatment with personalised cockpit announcements from the pilot.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper Karon said the pilot “would come over the tannoy saying “Hi Karon and the girls” telling us when to look out the window and what to look out for.
“The crew were wandering around and said just to call if I needed anything. I even got a free meal which was great. They said I could run up and down the plane if I wanted, I had all the space to myself. It was so peaceful and I got a lot of work done.”
When Ms Grieve landed in Crete she didn’t have to wait for her luggage at the terminal – it was simply handed to her when she got off the plane.
A Jet2.com spokesperson said: “This was our last flight to Crete from Glasgow Airport this year, marking the end of a very busy and successful season.
“We’re delighted that Karon got to experience our VIP customer service in style onboard our award-winning airline.”
