A Transavia Airlines flight from Dubai to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing after a fight broke out over a passenger breaking wind.

A fight broke out on a Transavia Airlines flight from Dubai to Amsterdam over an elderly passenger’s excessive farting, resulting in the pilot making an emergency landing in Vienna.

The unnamed man refused to hold in his farts, after two Dutchmen sitting next to him asked him to stop breaking wind.

According to reports, the flight attendants refused to intervene resulting in the Dutch passengers taking matters into their own hands.

A fight then broke out between the Dutch pair and two sisters who were seated near the incident.

The pilots decided to make an emergency landing in Vienna and removed the four disagreeing passengers, but apparently not the farting man.

The sisters are now suing Transavia Airlines, saying they were unfairly kicked off the flight.

Nobody was arrested in Austria, however, all four have been banned from flying Transavia Airlines in the future.

In a statement, the airline said: “Our crew must ensure a safe flight. When passengers pose risks, they immediately intervene. Our people are trained for that. They know very well where the boundaries are. Transavia is therefore square behind the cabin crew and the pilots.”
