New Emirates A380 to Have 615 Seats – First Class Scrapped | Secret Flying

Dubai based airline, Emirates, have announced that their new Airbus A380 aircraft will seat 615 passengers.

The Airbus A380 is the largest commercial aircraft in the world, where the current 3-class format on Emirates, seats 517 passengers. However, the airline thinks that’s still not enough. Their new A380 will loose the First Class cabin to increase the economy capacity by adding 130 extra seats on the upper deck. Business Class will also be scaled down.

The new 2-class aircraft will have 557 seats in Economy and 58 seats in Business according to SeatGuru. Don’t worry, despite the overhaul, economy seats will continue to have 32-34 inch legroom.

Emirates announced that the new aircraft will serve the Dubai-Copenhagen route starting 1st December 2015. There was no indication if other routes will be added soon after.
