Passenger arrested after punching mother in face because children were kicking her seat

Children kicking back of seat leads to assault.

A woman has been charged after punching a fellow airline passenger several times in the face on a Spirit Airlines flight after the victim’s children allegedly kicked the woman’s seat.

Daydrena Jaslin Walker-Williams, 29, is reported to have told the mother,Β Nataly Hernandez, to stop her children from kicking her seat during the flight.

Walker-Williams claims that the mother ignored her many requests and had hit her “on the shoulder” after one such request.

Upon landing atΒ Portland International Airport, Walker-Williams removed her luggage from the overhead bin and punchedΒ Hernandez two to three times in the face.

According to reports, Hernandez was leftΒ with a bleeding lip and lumps on her head.

In an affidavit of probable cause, Walker-Williams admitted to hitting Hernandez instead of tellingΒ a flight attendant as her “first reaction was to fight.”

When police officers arrived at the scene, she reportedly said to them, “You do what you got to do.”

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office has charged Walker-Williams with felony assault in the fourth degree and harassment.
