Carrier is rapidly resuming services.

Qatar Airways is now operating just over half the destinations it serviced pre-Covid-19, making the airline the most globally connected in the world.

The Doha-based carrier will serve a total of 85 destinations by mid-September, as it slowly rebuilds its network following months of flight suspensions.

In the next couple of weeks, Qatar Airways is adding Houston, Kathmandu, Mogadishu, Philadelphia and Sialkot to the network and increasing frequencies to nine other destinations including London Heathrow and New York’s JFK.

The airline will soon operate over 650 weekly flights.

“We are proud to be the leading global airline connecting passengers with the world, operating one of the youngest, most fuel-efficient and sustainable fleets to take people safely to where they need to be,” Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said.

“The gradual rebuilding of our network has been focused on strengthening connections between our hub in Doha and key gateways around the world.”

The airline has taken great measures to ensure passenger and crew safety onboard its planes, with flight attendants required to wear full PPE when in the skies.
