A service dog has given birth to eight puppies in the terminal at Tampa International Airport.
A two-year-old yellow Labrador who serves as a guide dog, gave birth to eight puppies at Tampa International Airport.
Ellie and her owners, a woman and her daughter, were set to board their flight to Philadelphia.
However, by departure gate 80, Ellie went into labour.
Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the call for help and assisted with delivering the seven boys and one girl.
“Ruff day for this mama at Airside F today!” Tampa International Airport wrote on its Facebook page.
“Eleanor Rigby, a Golden Retriever service dog, was about to board a plane to Philly when she went into labour at Gate 80.”
Instead of flying back, the dog owners now plan on driving the entire 1,000 miles from Tampa to Philadelphia.
