Despite Secret Flying being told by an American Airlines representative that the tickets will be honoured, it seems many have received cancellation emails.
We are yet to receive ours, hence the article.
Apologies for the false hope. It seems ALL tickets are being cancelled, regardless of the airline ticket stock.
Last week, Secret Flying brought you yet another First Class error fare with British Airways.
The deal was from Prague, Czech Republic to many Mexican cities from only £486 return.
Once again, British Airways refused to acknowledge the fact that e-tickets were issued to passengers, and CANCELLED all reservations.
This is the second time in a week that British Airways have cancelled reservations with complete disregard to their passengers.
Many people have still not received an email informing them of the cancellation and would be none the wiser if they don’t manually check themselves.
American Airlines have agreed to HONOUR all tickets that were issued by them!!
Because British Airways and American Airlines are codeshare partners, it is possible to purchase the same identical flights on either a British Airways issued ticket or an American Airlines issued ticket. British Airways have cancelled all tickets that were issued by them, whilst American Airlines have decided to honour all their tickets.
American Airlines have been exemplary in honouring many recent error fares and showing top class customer service.
A big thumbs up from Secret Flying!!
To find out which airline your ticket was issued by, check the first 3-digits of your e-ticket number:
American Airlines: 001
British Airways: 125
If you have 001, congratulations!! Enjoy your super-cheap First Class experience!!
If you have 125, don’t worry Secret Flying will be sure to post more amazing deals.
