Sleeping woman felt warm liquid on Delta flight.
A well-known pastor from North Carolina is accused of urinating on a sleeping woman in the back row of a Delta Air Lines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit.
Alicia Beverly was heading home with her sister after having spent an enjoyable few days in Vegas.
The pair were sleeping in the back row of the red-eye flight when Alicia was woken up by a strange sensation.
“It felt warm, like on the side of me I felt something warm,” she said to Fox 2 Detroit.
“I jump up and I seen his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up. By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!”
According to reports, the man responsible for urinating on Ms Beverly is a well-known pastor from North Carolina who has not yet been publicly named.
Alicia said the pastor did not explain himself but instead just stood there without saying anything.
The plane did not make an emergency landing and so Alicia was forced to sit in her wee-soaked clothes for the remaining couple of hours of the flight.
As for the pastor, an off-duty police officer was onboard the flight who apprehended him. Upon landing in Detroit he was taken into custody but it is unclear what he was charged with.
Ms Beverly has since described how she suffers from anxiety due to the incident.
“I left work yesterday because I couldn’t stay but I had to tell them why I needed to leave. It was a lot. My anxiety was really high literally. Since then I have only gotten 4 hours of sleep,” she said.
A spokeswoman for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport confirmed there was a “disorderly passenger” onboard a flight from Vegas to Detroit, and the incident was referred to the FBI.
