Thomas Cook launches economy class beds for only £200 extra | Secret Flying

Thomas Cook passengers can now pay only £200 extra to have a bed in economy class.

Travellers can now enjoy a lie-flat seat on board Thomas Cook Airlines in economy class.

The airline is launching ‘sleeper seats’ which involve converting the 3 middle seats on the Airbus A330 aircraft into beds.

Once the seat belt signs have been turned off, a flight attendant will place a ‘comfy’ mattress across the 3 seats and provide a pillow, a blanket and an amenities kit.

The new feature is available for flights between the UK and New York, San Francisco, Orlando and Cancun.

The downside to the sleeper seats, which are available for adults and children aged 12 and over, is that they are only 148.4 cm long.

So unless you are 4’10” tall, you will most certainly have to sleep curled up.

The cost? Only £200 on top of your single economy class ticket – there’s no need to purchase all three seats.

You’ve got to be quick to book. There are only four available per flight, all stationed at the back of the plane.
