**UPDATE** Dot Rules in Favour Of United Airlines

**UPDATE** Dot Rules in Favour Of United Airlines | Secret Flying

**UPDATE**
The US Department of Transportation have today ruled that they will NOT take action against United for not honouring the tickets.

You can read the full DOT statement here.
United Airlines have also issued a statement here.

It seems the ruling is only taking into account US customers. There’s no reference to European, or more specifically, Danish customers.

Keep checking back regularly on the Secret Flying website to be among the first to know of any future error fares.

It appears that United Airlines have begun cancelling tickets from the First Class Error Fare posted earlier today.

They have not even had the decency to send out emails alerting their customers of their cancelled tickets.

If you received an e-ticket number and your flight has been cancelled, you may be able to get it back under the basis of DOT rule § 399.88.
Submit a complaint to the United States Department of Transportation using the following online form: DOT complaint

You can also leave a comment on United Airline’s Twitter and Facebook pages informing them of your disappointment.

You can also make a complaint to the European Commission.
Complete the following form and contact your relevant office.
