Sneezing passenger causes diversion.

A United Airlines flight from Eagle, Colorado to Newark, New Jersey earlier this week made an emergency landing in Denver after passengers became angry with a sneezing traveller.

Flight UA1562 was only a few minutes into the flight when three passengers became disruptive after another passenger started sneezing.

According to reports, the three unruly travellers failed to follow crew members’ instructions, resulting in the captain diverting the flight.

Upon landing in Denver, the three left the aircraft, whilst the sneezing passenger was screened on the plane.

Officials determined that the sneezing passenger was only suffering from seasonal allergies.

Dr Jordan Safirstein was a passenger onboard the flight, he tweeted: “Turns out the passenger was freaking about being next to people who were coughing/sneezing and making unreasonable requests and eventually becoming “unruly” and uncooperative. NO #COVID here.”

The three passengers were not arrested in Denver and instead made their own travel plans to Newark.

“One person was sick on the plane and these people got angry,” Denver police spokesman Kurt Barnes said.

“There were three people who decided not to continue on the flight. They left the plane voluntarily. They decided to look for their own means of transport to reach their original destination.”

KCNC-TV reported the FBI is investigating, however, it is not clear whether any charges will be filed.
