A United Airlines flight was diverted after a passenger got stuck in the bathroom.
A United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger became stuck in the loo during the flight.
Flight UA1554 was travelling from Washington to San Francisco on Wednesday when the unidentified woman became stuck in the bathroom.
The flight made an unscheduled stop in Denver around 7:28 p.m.
Once on the ground, five firefighters and a mechanic were needed to get her out.
Video of the incident posted on social media shows the rescue operation underway.
“We’ll get you out soon, OK,” a crew member is heard saying on the video.
The bathroom door was eventually opened, and the passenger was able to get out safely.
The flight took off again about two-and-a-half hours after landing in Denver.
