A man was arrested after engaging in a fight aboard an American Airlines flight from St. Croix to Miami.

An American Airlines passenger was arrested on Wednesday after arguing with a flight attendant and fighting with another passenger because he was denied more beer.

Cell phone video captures a flight attendant telling passenger Jason Felix that he can’t have more alcohol, as he was already drunk and federal law prohibits an airline from serving alcohol to intoxicated passengers.

Felix allegedly escalated the verbal altercation with the flight attendant, which resulted in a physical confrontation with another passenger.

Felix is now facing federal charges.

The incident occurred approximately one hour into flight AA1293 from St Croix to Miami.

According to reports, the man who brawled with Felix knew him from his police work in St. Croix. He told authorities that Felix’s reputation was not a good one on the island.

The FBI statment said Mr Felix yelled: “I’m going to kill you. I know you are a cop”.

When the plane landed in Miami, Felix was arrested for attempting to interfere with a flight crew, a sentence that could carry up to 20 years in jail.
