Fight breaks out over face masks.
Two people have been arrested by Spanish police after a brawl on a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Ibiza on Friday.
According to reports, two Scottish men who had drank a litre of vodka on the flight between them, refused to wear face masks when asked by cabin crew.
As the two passengers continued to ignore the flight attendants’ requests, other travellers intervened, resulting in a fist fight.
In a video posted online, people can be seen rushing to break up the fight which appears to be between a topless man and another passenger.
One of the unruly men is pinned to the floor as the plane lands in Ibiza.
A spokesperson for KLM said: “Two unruly passengers refused to wear their face masks and they were bothering their fellow passengers physically and verbally.
“The pilot informed the local authorities and upon arrival, both passengers were arrested. The flight safety was not compromised during the flight.”
KLM has strict guidance on face coverings, with passengers required to wear masks on board until at least August 31.
The airline’s website states: “Without face covering, we cannot allow you to board. We strongly advise you wear a mask at the rest of the airport as well.”
