VIDEO: Impatient Ryanair passenger takes the emergency exit after Malaga flight delay | Secret Flying

An impatient Ryanair passenger left a plane via the emergency exit and ended up perched on the wing after he grew tired of waiting to disembark.

A man has been arrested atΒ Malaga–Costa del Sol Airport after opening the emergency exit door and getting out on to the wingΒ after becoming fed up with waiting to disembark.

TheΒ 57-year-old Polish national can be seen in the videoΒ perched on the wing of flight FR8164 with his hand luggage as the plane sits on the tarmac.

The passenger had become frustrated that theΒ New Year’s Day flight departed the UK one-hour later than scheduled, and thenΒ was kept waiting again on the plane in Malaga.

Fernando Del Valle Villalobos filmed the Polish man making his exit and shared the footage on Facebook.

β€œAfter leaving London an hour late and arriving in Malaga only to be left waiting another 30 minutes inside the plane, with no explanation as to why from Ryanair, this man decided he wasn’t going to wait any longer,” he wrote.

β€œHe activated the emergency door and left, saying, β€˜I’m going via the wing.’ It was surreal.”

A spokesman for Ryanair said: β€œThis airport security breach occurred after landing in Malaga airport on 1st January.

β€œMalaga airport police immediately arrested the passenger in question and since this was a breach of Spanish safety and security regulations, it is being dealt with by the Spanish authorities.”

The man is expected to face a hefty fine.
