Confrontation between Spirit Airlines employee and traveller.

A Spirit Airlines employee was suspended Friday after being caught in a wild viral video trading blows with a woman at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

In a video shared online, the airline agent and a woman are heard yelling at each other.

“You have lost your mind, don’t touch me ever in your life,” the agent yells in the woman’s face.

“You touched me first and then you got in my face. Don’t ever invade my personal space.” The woman yells back, “Get out of my face, get out of my face!”

“Stay out of my personal space,” the agent says as the woman yells homophobic and racist slurs, pushing his chest.

While continuing to argue, the woman is seen slapping the Spirit Airlines worker around the head.

“Everybody! Back up from me! This bitch put her hands on me,” the agent yells as he stalks after her again, warning that she “got the wrong person” to fight with.

The Spirit worker then chases her and takes her to the ground, before punching her in the back of the head.

Police were called to the scene, however, no one was taken into custody as both parties were released after being interviewed.

According to a DFW Airport police incident report, the female passenger became angry during the boarding process.

The Spirit employee told the airport police the woman got off a plane complaining there wasn’t a seat for her. He said he asked the woman to get in line with the gate agent, but witnesses said the woman cut in front of others and became uncooperative.

It escalated further when police said the supervisor tried to take her boarding pass.

Spirit Airlines confirmed on Twitter that it was “aware of this altercation.”

“Our vendor at DFW has suspended the agent,” the company said.

“Spirit Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind, and we are working with local law enforcement to investigate this matter.”
