Woman claims racism behind getting kicked off flight.
A maskless woman was filmed being escorted off a Spirit Airlines plane for reportedly refusing to wear a face mask, an incident that she screamed was “racism at its best”.
In a video posted online, the unnamed woman and her daughter are seen being escorted off the plane by law enforcement, whilst applause breaks out among their fellow passengers.
The mother begins to sarcastically clap along yelling “woo!” as a police officer is following her out of the aircraft.
While the woman is not wearing a mask, she does appear to be holding one in her hand.
Prior to leaving the plane. the woman leans around the Perspex screen, shouting, “racism at its best,” before confronting a passenger for recording her.
The daughter defends her mother, telling the heckling passengers “don’t talk to my mother like that”.
The footage was first uploaded to the video-sharing app TikTok, however, the upload does not provide any information on where the incident took place.
The majority of US airlines have mandated that all passengers must wear a face mask at all times during a flight or risk being removed from the aircraft.
