SpiceJet cabin crew celebrated Holi by dancing on board as the aircraft prepared for takeoff at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Passengers were greeted in full Bollywood style when SpiceJet cabin crew performed a dance routine to mark Holi eve.
Video footage shows cabin crew, dressed in their bright orange uniforms, dancing down the aisle in a choreographed routine.
Many passengers can be seen in the video enjoying themselves, clapping along with the music.
Holi also known as the “festival of colours”, is an Indian and Nepali spring festival celebrated all across the Indian subcontinent.
Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika Dahan where people gather, perform religious rituals in front of the bonfire, and pray that their internal evil be destroyed the way Holika.
The next morning is celebrated as Rangwali Holi – a free-for-all festival of colours, where people smear each other with colours.
In 2013, two SpiceJet pilots were suspended after flight attendants were videoed dancing in the aisles at 35,000ft.
