Two men brawl on Ryanair plane ‘in row over window seat’.
A disagreement between two passengers on a Ryanair plane erupted into a physical altercation on a flight from Malta to London.
According to reports, chaos ensued after one man reportedly refused to let the other pass him to get to his window seat.
“The British man wouldn’t let the American man pass through to get to his window seat and then some words and swears were exchanged before a scuffle broke,” a witness told Mail Online.
“The flight was delayed two hours everyone was annoyed.”
In a video posted online, one of the men fighting can be seen grabbing the neck of the other passenger as people shout for the two men to “calm down”.
Another passenger can be heard telling the two men to stop fighting and saying in the background: “We’re never gonna get home.”
Other passengers can be seen in the video pulling the two men apart.
In a statement, the airline said: “Two passengers on this flight from Malta to Stansted (3 July) became disruptive ahead of take-off. Cabin crew diffused the situation before the aircraft departed safely for Stansted following a minor delay.”
During the summer, thousands more people fly to reach their holiday destinations.
With increased numbers of travellers, the airlines are placed under more strain which can result in flight delays or cancellations.
These frustrations can lead to more unruly behaviour as passengers experience increasingly stressful situations.
